CHICAGO — At the AHR Expo, Neal Walsh of Aeroseal explained the company’s duct sealing technology at a press conference. According to Walsh, Aeroseal’s technology was developed at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory by Mark Modera, a former researcher for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Aeroseal is a duct sealing solution that seals leaks from the inside of the duct system. It is applied as a nontoxic aerosol mist and pumped throughout a building’s interior ductwork, where it accumulates and bonds around the gaps and leaks throughout the system until they are permanently sealed.
