WASHINGTON — The Associated Specialty Contractors (ASC) and the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) met in Washington recently to discuss a possible partnering agreement.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) reports that member Fred Oyer, who represents MCAA on the ASC’s board of trustees, was at the meeting. With the aid of a facilitator, the associations identified multiple areas of mutual interest, which will be included in the first draft of the partnering agreement: the identification of common challenges and opportunities; an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect; a forum for discussion of common concerns; and the prevention — or resolution — of issues between the two parties.
