FARMINGTON, CT — Carrier Corporation has announced the appointment of Halsey Cook as president, North America Residential. Cook will be based at Carrier’s North America Residential headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, and will report to Carrier president Geraud Darnis. Since November 2001, Darnis directly managed this business unit in addition to his responsibilities as Carrier president. Cook will retain the responsibility of International Comfort Products Corp. (ICP) president until a successor is announced.
Under Cook’s leadership, the company says, the North America Residential team will continue to focus on strengthening Carrier Corporation’s position as a premier provider of air conditioning and heating solutions for the home. He and his team will formulate and execute strategies for share growth and profitability by leveraging Carrier’s portfolio of products, channel partners, and residential brands, including Carrier, Bryant, and Payne, says the company.
