South Florida HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractor looks to boost workforce
August 10, 2015
All-Star Home Services, an HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractor serving the greater Miami-Dade community, has announced plans to expand its workforce with new job openings in a variety of departments, including apprenticeships.
Making sure the right employees are in place, hiring based on quality rather than need, adding value for employees by implementing merit-based programs and systems that reward them for doing great work, delegating, and clearly communicating company goals are essential parts of a successful culture.
Almost all of us lie, fib, or stretch the truth a bit. We do this to our superior ("Great joke, boss!") and to our significant other ("I would love to go out to your parents' place this weekend"). Sometimes, it's easy to tell people what they want to hear to inflate their opinion of you. It happens on résumés all the time.
While growth in HVAC and electrical jobs increases, a gap persists between job requirements and the skills of available workers. When almost one quarter of an industry’s workforce is planning to retire in five years or less, it creates opportunity. When 85 percent of employers report that it is difficult to very difficult to find qualified new hires, it creates a potential workforce disaster.
