Designed for water-cooled chiller applications and built with Turbocor technology, the TT700 compressors are oil-free, variable-speed, magnetic-bearing centrifugal compressors that provide full- and part-load energy efficiency.
The Carel HEOS Sistema is a high-efficiency solution for refrigerated cases. It features remote cases fitted with variable-speed BLDC compressors cooled by a water loop. Each case can adapt its operating pressure to the load conditions in real time, allowing the compressor to operate in the most energy-advantageous conditions.
While various aspects of HVACR technology seem to be lagging behind, compressors are keeping pace. And, of all the compressors being introduced, manufacturers are ensuring new offerings meet demands, operate intelligently, and, perhaps most importantly, perform efficiently.
Turbocor began as a research and development company in 1993 in Australia before moving to Montreal in 1999. In 2004, Danfoss formed a 50-50 venture called Danfoss Turbocor. The company has since relocated its headquarters to Tallahassee, Fla.
