Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) has developed a new series of centrifugal chillers, called the ETI-Z Series, that use a new low-global warming potential (low-GWP) refrigerant, HFO-1233zd(E). The various models in the new series will be progressively launched starting this September.
Honeywell has announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has added HFO-1233zd (also known as Solstice™ zd) refrigerant to the list of materials exempted from volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations.
Among the many products at the Trane booth, the company is highlighting its new Series S™ CenTraVac™ chiller featuring AdaptiSpeed™ technology, which Trane says delivers optimum efficiency for centrifugal chillers in the 180-390 tonnage range.
