Cost Savings from Pilot Project Leads to Company-Wide Program

Cascade Energy has announced an agreement with New Orleans Cold Storage (NOCS) to maximize energy efficiency at NOCS sites company-wide. Cascade’s energy management services will help reduce facility energy consumption by an estimated 12 percent by the fifth year of the program.

Despite budget constraints, mayors in the United States expect to significantly expand their investment in energy technologies over the next five years, according to a new survey highlighting how cities are deploying new energy technologies to make their city operations and communities more energy efficient.
In addition to saving energy and reducing pollution, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo hopes the Build Smart NY initiative will also generate thousands of jobs, stimulate the economy, and save the state money in the long run.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo has issued an executive order directing New York state agencies to increase energy efficiency in state buildings by 20 percent in seven years, one of the most ambitious initiatives in the nation that is expected to save millions of dollars for the state.
