REC Solar, a leader in solar system design and installation, has announced a major expansion into New York state. REC Solar now offers turnkey solar solutions to residents across the state, with an initial focus on Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, and Orange Counties.
Tioga Energy has announced the completion of a 961 kW solar energy project for two sites in the Washington Elementary School District (WESD). This undertaking will save the WESD more than $1.5 million over the next 20 years, including over $28,000 in the first year of operation alone.
Representatives from the Hemet Unified School District, Tioga Energy, Johnson Controls, De Lage Landen, and Wells Fargo & Co. gathered in Hemet, Calif., to celebrate the completion of 17 solar electric systems for district schools that are expected to save the district approximately $300,000 in utility costs annually.
