The HVACR industry headed south in big numbers for the three-day Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Exposition (AHR Expo) recently. According to show promoter International Exposition Company (IEC), the 2013 Expo broke the all-time Southwest record for the event.

Day two of the expo is in the books. You know it is day two because of that glazed look people get at around 3 p.m. It is a mix of lack of sleep, walking more than usual, and the enjoyment of some night life. Oh, and you want a video? Check out the armadillo race.

For the 18th year in a row, Danfoss invited the trade press to a breakfast during the AHR Expo. John Galyen, president, Danfoss North America, provided Danfoss’ perspective and an industry outlook.

To mark its 10th anniversary, Seresco rolled out birthday cakes at its booth at the AHR Expo.

FieldAware, a leading field service software company, announced Cote’s Mechanical as the recipient of its inaugural Business Transformation Award. 

Anybody else’s feet hurt? It was the first day of the AHR Expo and it was a great success. We shot some videos, talked to industry folks, and of course began to gather new product information. But, of course, when the sun went down, the true fun came out.  

Climate Master hosted a party at the Winspear Opera House. Guests were treated to a buffet and a special look at the inside of the opera house.
