Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Can Now Get Funding for Energy Efficiency Retrofits

Smaller businesses, schools, churches, and clinics throughout Ohio could potentially cut tens of millions of dollars a year off their energy bills using a new financial tool launched by the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE).

Ecology Action, a provider of marketing and engagement programs for the implementation of energy efficiency and sustainability programs, announced that it has been chosen by Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) to administer its Complete Energy Solutions (CES) program.
For Community Connections, a not-for-profit mental health agency in Washington, D.C., the objective was to install HVAC upgrades to meet the goal of a 40 percent energy-efficiency improvement with a seven-year payback.
As part of the Obama Administration’s commitment to supporting the next generation of scientists and engineers, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced that a University of Maryland team has won the department’s first Max Tech and Beyond Appliance Design competition.
