Warm Water Prevents Heat Build-up and Saves Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announced that it has won an R&D 100 award, in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP), for its HP Apollo Platform for High-Performance Computing.
Featuring a cooling capacity of 16,800 Btuh, the portable air conditioning unit added to the company’s lineup can operate between 64 and 104°F. The unit comes standard with cold air nozzles or a grille option, and has optional accessories that include a condensate pump, condenser air plenum, and remote control.
AmeriCool Inc. announced that it has added a new portable air conditioning unit to its lineup. The new unit, the WPC-4000, features a cooling capacity of 16,800 Btuh, and can operate between 64° and 104°F.
