Surplus 13 SEER equipment from the US can be sold in Canada
April 18, 2016
HVAC efficiency standards have changed in the U.S., creating an opportunity for Canadians dealers. Distributors and manufacturers in the Southeast and Southwest regions of the U.S. need to sell 13 SEER inventory by July 2016. Canadian dealers can purchase this equipment at significant savings.
In October 2011, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) published amendment 11 to the Energy Efficiency Regulations in the Canada Gazette part II. Affected products include residential gas, oil, and electric boilers with an input rate of less than 88 kW (300,000 Btuh).
