Five years after appearing on Undercover Boss and working alongside a female service professional in a male-dominated industry, the Women in the Trades (WITT) program launched by Dina Dwyer-Owens and The Dwyer Group Inc. is celebrating an important milestone as it continues to assist and advance career opportunities for women across the service trades.

More than 550 current and future HVACR students submitted 250-word essays to enter hilmor’s annual Retool Your Future contest, which awards winners a prize package consisting of a $5,000 scholarship, an HVACR starter kit, and a hilmor merchandising Green Wall donated to their school.
Thirty-five students, including six veterans, received scholarships

The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), announced scholarship awards totaling $55,000 to 35 students, including six veterans, studying to become technicians in the HVACR and water heating industry.
