The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced that it is seeking additional input from the public regarding the federal government’s use of third party green building certification systems.
Xero Flor America (XFA) announced the selection of the Xero Flor Green Roof System for the 292,000-square-foot green roof being installed on the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The green roof will be the second largest on a building in the United States when completed.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced that it is delaying the ballot on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) 2012 until June 1, 2013. Because of the date change, the new version of LEED will be known as LEED v4. USGBC will also have a fifth public comment period on the new version.
