The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), with more than 1,200 signatories, has sent a letter to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) asking that it continue to use the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system across the federal building portfolio.
Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) has been joined by 55 other members of Congress from both parties in sending a letter to General Services Administration (GSA) Acting Administrator Daniel Tangherlini, requesting the agency reconsider use of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) 2012 rating system for federal buildings.
