Firespray International has provided an innovative lab exhaust ductwork system for the University of California, Berkeley’s (UC Berkeley) Helios Energy Research Facility, solving a complex construction challenge at the 113,000-square-foot building under construction in downtown Berkeley.

Manufactured from a durable polyester material, PolyArmor™ duct liner is fiberglass-free and won’t irritate the skin, the company said. The polyester material is webbed into a thermal blanket, which is then bonded with a Foil-Scrim-Kraft (FSK) facing to resist damage during system installation and operation.

The TapeMaster™ HVAC-TAPE2 is a 2-inch aluminum foil tape dispenser. It is engineered to remove the paper release liner from foil tapes with ease. The tape dispenser conveniently rolls the waste paper onto a take-up reel for easy disposal, eliminating little pieces of scrap from the jobsite, the company said.

Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC, a New York-based private equity firm, announced that Blue Wolf Capital Fund II L.P., through an affiliate, has entered into an agreement with Standex International Corp. to acquire Standex’s Air Distribution Products Group (SADP), a leader in the design and manufacture of galvanized steel duct products for residential and light commercial buildings.
