The class is open to anyone wishing to build or improve upon their knowledge of steam and heat transfer including engineers, designers, project managers, estimators, contractors, pipefitters, plumbers, maintenance staff, and facilities operations and energy personnel. Subjects covered in the class include the fundamentals of steam heat transfer, different types of heat exchange equipment, heat exchange controls, and stall theory/condensate drainage. Also included will be fouling factors and how they affect heat transfer. Course STM 100 or equivalent experience (subject to evaluation) is a prerequisite for this class.
