Lots of Opportunity for Potential HVACR Workers

I enjoyed reading Kimberly Schwartz’s article “Opening Eyes to Opportunities” in the June 18 issue of The NEWS.

She really nailed it when she said that we need to inform up-and-coming generations about the possibilities in the field.

As an HVAC instructor, I am constantly stressing to my students that “It’s a big world out there,” and there are endless opportunities for technicians to find and excel in their area of interest.

At the community college level, we are constantly striving to reach out to area high schools and career skill centers to recruit students for our program. We have a great story to tell, and it’s exciting to be in a dynamic industry that has such huge potential for growth.

Thanks!
