Ed Trout is vice president of operations and director of product safety for Warren Technology, Hialeah, Fla. He has been responsible for the testing and safety certification of over 4,000 electric heating products through Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Safety Association (CSA), Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL), and Applied Research Laboratories (ARL).
