CHICAGO — Remote Access Standards, a new white paper from the ClimateTalk Alliance, reviews the capabilities for remote access within the ClimateTalk Open Standards. The alliance is an organization of companies committed to developing a common communication framework for HVAC and smart grid devices.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is currently developing a new Energy Star specification for Residential Climate Controls, which includes requirements for remote user interface plus capabilities to respond to peak energy pricing.
