CHICAGO — The Dow Chemical Co. is conducting heat transfer fluid educational presentations at the 2012 AHR Expo.
“Dispelling the Myths about Heat Transfer Fluids” is the topic of the presentation by Kevin Connor, technical service manager for Dow Heat Transfer Fluids. Connor will compare fluids used in water-based HVAC systems, describe how to choose the right fluid to avoid system problems, and explain the impact of chemical raw materials on fluid performance and longevity. He will also provide an update on the latest fluid technology from Dow.
Presentations are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. in the Dow booth.
For those unable to attend one of the presentations, Dow said Connor and other fluid experts will be available throughout the show to discuss fluids for efficient heat transfer and effective freeze and corrosion control in water-based systems. Information will be offered about DOWFROST™ GEO 20 fluid, an inhibited propylene glycol-based fluid formulated for ground source heat pumps.
