A new building envelope sealing technology designed to seal the outer shell of homes and buildings was unveiled at the first annual Aeroseal Success Summit. According to Aeroseal, the new technology is the first automated system used to effectively find and seal air leaks in building structures.

The National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) has announced the recipients of its Clean Air Awards for 2015. The awards are presented each year to building owners and managers that take steps to significantly improve IAQ by increasing the level or efficiency of their HVAC air filtration system in 10 specific categories.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has launched a new mobile app to assist schools and school districts in performing comprehensive IAQ facility assessments to protect the health of children and school staff.
Because consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of managing IAQ, they are willing to spend money to purchase products to improve overall comfort in their homes. As a result, the U.S. IAQ market is forecast to grow to $11.4 billion by 2019 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7 percent over the next four years.
Left untreated, mold will continue to grow and spread and can damage walls, ceilings, carpeting, and more. Every time the house is closed up and the a/c is turned off, the moisture creeps back in and the mold begins growing again.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) announced its partnership with the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) to produce the first-ever Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Practitioners Body of Knowledge (BoK).
Commercial building codes are mandating higher volumes of fresh-air intake than ever before. To help meet these ventilation requirements, more and more HVAC contractors and building owners are turning to dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS).
