Burke Engineering Co., a wholesale distributor of controls and HVACR parts and equipment, opened a new superstore in Anaheim, Calif. Celebrating its 60th year in business, the company is combining the current Anaheim and Santa Ana locations into one facility.
At its annual Pinnacle Awards distributor event, American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning honored eight authorized distributors for their outstanding business performance in 2008. The awards presentation was presided over by Jamie Byrne, vice president of sales.
APR Supply Inc. has opened two new distribution branches after acquiring the assets of H&S Supply Co. in New Oxford and Gettysburg, Pa. The new facilities are located at 627 York Street and 310 Lincolnway East.
Meier Supply Co. Inc. opened its 16th branch location. The new branch makes Meier Supply Co. the first and only refrigeration wholesaler in the Hanover-Gettysburg, Pa., region. The location features over 2,000 square feet of showroom space and an additional 7,000 square feet of warehouse space.
Over 200 people attended First Supply’s HVAC Dealer Meeting and Product Show that included an HVACR tradeshow attended by over 20 vendors and manufacturer representatives. Attendees also had access to information sessions.
W.W. Grainger Inc. continues to expand and is now opening its first branch in Panama. The new branch offers businesses and institutions in Panama a large inventory of products needed to keep its facilities running. Grainger is also making additions to its North American market.

Inc. for its 20 years and counting as a top American Standard distributor.
Johnstone Supply Inc.’s annual meeting - themed “Full Steam Ahead” and held in Atlanta - in part reflected the cooperative’s strong moves forward in implementing strategic initiatives to achieve its goal of reaching $2 billion in total sales by 2010. Nearly 1,200 people attended this year’s event.
