Tampa Contractor Wins Chamber Award

For the first time in its 29-year history, the Greater Tampa (Florida) Chamber of Commerce has presented its Small Business of the Year Award to an HVAC service organization - Simpson Air, which won in the 21-50 employee category, according to a statement issued by Simpson.

“We are extremely honored to be recognized as the Small Business of the Year and I am so proud of our entire team for making this happen,” said Paige Fisher Simpson. “It’s been an amazing 10 years from our launch with two people in 1999 to this amazing award we share with 27 employees.”

Hundreds of companies entered and were evaluated through an application on their financial success, community involvement, and ethical business practices. For companies making the finals, which included five businesses encompassing a variety of industries, two personal interview sessions were conducted to select the 2009 winners.

Garry Simpson said, “Through a single vision of what our brand name stands for - being the trusted air conditioning authority that listens and responds with innovative solutions done right the first time, every time - we’ve been able to implement business strategies that have helped us stay ahead of the curve.

“Fortunately for us, it has allowed us to produce results in a changing market, helped us manage our finances in good and bad economies, and allowed us to give back to the community.”

Created in 1999, Simpson Air is a Carrier factory authorized dealer and is the retail division of Simpson Mechanical.
