Sensistor Technologies: Refrigerant Leak Detector
The H2000â„¢ refrigerant leak detector uses hydrogen as a tracer gas to detect leaks. The gas mix used is a safe mixture of 5-percent hydrogen in nitrogen, says the company. The H2000 has dynamic background compensation and minimizes problems with background interference because hydrogen gas is dissipated much quicker than other gases, the company says. According to the manufacturer, standard settings on the instrument can be changed easily using the leak detector's user-friendly display menu. The instrument features a standard probe with no sample suction, so dust contamination is prevented, the company states. The probe can be equipped with a protective cover that allows leak detection on wet objects.
