School for Distributors

PORTLAND, Ore. - BlueVolt, a provider of online learning management systems for the manufacturing, construction and service industries, has partnered with Embassy Group Ltd. to launch Embassy University (EU) for its distributor members in the plumbing, PVF, and HVAC industry.

Embassy University allows Embassy Group’s distributor members to participate in training from Embassy’s vendors from any location, at any time.

Current courses offered include product training from manufacturers such as IPS Corp., Taco Inc., and White Rodgers.

Embassy Group’s online training initiative is an extension of the organization’s existing training program, which ranges from in-person seminars to providing printed learning materials to its members. Leveraging BlueVolt’s latest technologies to enhance and improve learning, EU will allow the organization to provide a consistent message to a large, targeted audience and track the results of their knowledge retention.

“In a world of cloned products, persuasive images, and new technology, independent wholesalers are still rich in human resources,” said Wally Gumm, president of Embassy Group Ltd.

“And providing the necessary training and support for those human resources is more important than ever. The new Embassy University, powered by BlueVolt, will allow our members to access the best training in the industry. And BlueVolt’s proven reward system provides incentives for our members’ sales personnel to become even more engaged with our manufacturers’ product training.”

Embassy Group has also partnered with the American Supply Association (ASA), a not-for-profit national organization serving wholesale distributors and their suppliers in the same industry, to integrate EU with ASA’s online university. This will benefit their shared distributors, who can now seamlessly participate in the online training courses offered by both universities.
