GREENVILLE, SC — Rockwell Automation announced the launch of its new Industrial Product Configurator on its new B2B website, www.Ptplace.com. The application makes it possible for Rockwell Automation customers to perform online configuration and ordering of a range of products.

The configurator takes customers through the product definition and selection process with the aid of a graphical user interface. By clicking on the configurator icon at PTplace, users are guided through the selection of product features via a highly detailed rules-based engine.

“The Industrial Product Configurator puts our customers in control of the specifying and ordering process, giving them accurate information exactly when they need it,” added Jim Sneed, Rockwell’s vice president of information technology.
