September 23, 2004
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. - Siemens Building Technologies Inc. has selected Daryl Dulaney as the next leader of its U.S. business operations. Dulaney will become the chief operating officer of Siemens Building Technologies on Oct. 1, 2004, and will serve in this capacity until Dec. 31 of this year, when he replaces retiring Stan Kunka as president and chief executive officer of the company.

As chief operating officer, Dulaney will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Siemens Building Technologies, directing its growth and market strategies for the company's portfolio of building automation, HVAC products, fire safety, security systems, and energy solutions and services.

"It will be an honor to take the reins of Siemens Building Technologies' U.S. operations at a time when we have such a bright future ahead of us," said Dulaney. "Thanks to Stan Kunka's leadership over the past three years, we have a solid foundation for continued success."

Said Kunka, "I would like to thank the 8,000 employees of Siemens Building Technologies in North America for their efforts and support in what we achieved these past several years. I will be leaving Siemens with complete confidence that our company is under good leadership and well positioned for the future."

Dulaney has been with the company since 1979, currently serving as president of Siemens Building Technologies' building automation division.
