RSES Hosting CO2 Seminar in Syracuse

The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) will host a “Natural Refrigerants Seminar, With a Focus on Carbon Dioxide,” on June 4, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Pastime Athletic Club in Syracuse, N.Y.

Instructor Svend Bennedsen is a senior application engineer and laboratory manager at Danfoss Inc., Baltimore. During the last 10 years, he has been involved in several carbon dioxide (CO2) application projects, and particularly the last three years in hydrocarbon application projects.

According to the society, the seminar is designed for HVAC contractors, service technicians, installers, building and facility managers, maintenance managers, engineering managers, building service managers, building and grounds supervisors, maintenance supervisors, project managers, maintenance and repair technicians, students, and instructors.

Topics will include an introduction to natural refrigerants; critical stages of CO2; its use in industrial refrigeration, supermarket, commercial refrigeration, and household appliances; how to charge, vent, and pump out CO2 refrigeration systems; and design considerations. Attendees will receive a personalized certificate of completion if preregistered; onsite registrants will have it mailed to them after the seminar.
