AutoBid Mechanical 3.5, the company’s estimating software, allows users to export information such as cost codes and labor tracking data directly to accounting packages. The company states that the software provides direct tie-ins to Microsoft Project and Primavera’s scheduling package, allowing the download of man-hour breakdowns. New features include a report that provides a project material multiplier breakout, enhanced data searching and browsing for access to piping items, a new Graphical TakeOff (GTO) method, which greatly increases takeoff speed on typical runouts off mains, and a new Zoom tool, which allows users to select areas on the GTO display to easily make changes after takeoff has been completed, the company says.
