  • The Unified Group, a network of independent HVAC mechanical contractors, has formed a board of advisors to oversee its five business areas. The co-chairs of each area are:
    — Purchasing: Marty Indursky, owner of Encon Mechanical (Ocean, N.J.) and David Nichols, operations manager of Climate Systems (Williston, Vt.).
    — National accounts: John Blaylock, general manager of Wiegmann Associates (St. Charles, Mo.) and Tom Foldes, vice president of business development at Baker Group (Des Moines, Iowa).
    — Membership: Blaz Lucas, vice president of Air Comfort Corp. (Broadview, Ill.) and Chris Hightower, president of Air Management Systems (Miami).
    — Training: John Philbin, president of Guardian Environmental Services (Livonia, Mich.) and Brett Holscher, operations manager of Bubeck Service Inc. (Lenexa, Kan.)
    — Marketing: Jeffrey Chambers, vice president of service at Desert Refrigeration & Heating (Phoenix) and Tom Payne, general service manager of Miller Bonded (Albuquerque, N.M.)

  • Shannon MacGregor has been named as director of finance for the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).

    Livengood
  • The NovaFlex Group (Richmond Hill, Ontario) has appointed Pete Livengood as a regional manager at NovaFlex Hose (Burlington, N.C.).
