• North American Technician Excellence (NATE) named Pat Lampel (right), former director of marketing services for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), chief marketing officer.

• The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) joined the Green Mechanical Council (GreenMech) as a charter member. Riley Sales (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) joined as a Helios member.

• The Heat Exchange Institute Inc. (HEI) released the sixth edition of Standards for Steam Jet Vacuum Systems.

• The Carbon Monoxide Safety Association (COSA) appointed Bob Dwyer as its new director of training.

• The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) recognized Rick Cartwright with its President’s Award, and Thomas Cassin with the William W. Carpenter Award.
