• The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) named John C. Lindemulder Sr. (right) as president. Green technology will be a top priority during his administration.

• The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ (ASHRAE’s) headquarters have been awarded LEED Platinum certification in the New Construction 2.2 rating system.

• The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) appointed Michael Latreille of Holmes Heating Inc. (Ottawa, Ontario) as chair of the Contractors Division.
