This flanged butterfly valve offers low torque for longer life and a less-expensive actuation package compared to ball, plug, and gate valves, says the manufacturer. The butterfly valve also can be actuated for throttling, providing more versatility, and it is lighter in weight and easier to install than ball and plug valves, the company says. Applications include commercial and general utility service including hvac, hot and cold water, compressed air and hydrocarbons, vacuum service, end-of-line service, and modulating control services.
