March 15, 2005: MEAC Training To Help Fill Mechanical Systems Faculty Gap

March 15, 2005
ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has announced that the Mechanical-Electrical Academic Consortium (MEAC) is sponsoring a program to help meet the demand for faculty to teach mechanical systems and related courses at colleges and universities.

The conference, to be held April 3-5 at the University of Cincinnati, is designed for faculty who have little or no mechanical industry experience, but who will be teaching basic courses in that discipline. Funded by a grant from the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation, the MEAC Faculty Training Camp will be taught by instructors who are seasoned industry veterans and who have taught, or are currently teaching, college-level mechanical systems and/or construction management courses.

The first training camp is limited to 20 attendees and is fully subscribed. For more information, contact Ann Mattheis at amattheis@mcaa.org.
