  • Thermo Pride (Lancaster, Pa.) reports that its oil furnaces have been selected to heat 10 mobile drilling structures as part of the National Science Foundation IceCube project. IceCube is a high-tech telescope being funded by 23 institutions.

  • Ingersoll-Rand Co. Ltd. (Hamilton, Bermuda) has promoted Randy P. Smith to president of the company's Climate Control Sector.

  • Blygold America Inc. (Stevensville, Md.) has licensed Industrial Coating & Coil Inc. (Los Angeles) as Blygold Los Angeles to provide Blygold protective coating services for HVACR coils and equipment installed in corrosive marine, coastal, and industrial environments.

  • Dometic Corp. (Elkhart, Ind.), a systems supplier to the recreational vehicle industry, has signed an agreement with Taylor Made Group to purchase Taylor Made Environmental (TME). TME manufactures air conditioning products for the marine industry.

  • Paul Groundwater has been named vice president of marketing for the Residential Systems division of American Standard Companies Inc. (Tyler, Texas).

  • Trane Orlando presented Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) facilities management with the Integrated Comfort System (ICS) award for implementing the ICS system at Freedom High School.
