PARSIPPANY, N.J. - The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has released its newest version of ANSI/HI Pump standards on CD-ROM. ANSI/HI Pump standards on CD-ROM, Version 2.0, contains the full text of all ANSI/HI standards, and features several enhanced search and navigation features.

"Now with 1,500-plus pages of content and 26 standards, in a single-user CD-ROM format, this product is a must-have for anyone involved with pumps or pumping systems," said Gregg Romanyshyn, technical director for HI. Romanyshyn noted the inclusion of four landmark ANSI/HI standards, new for Version 2.0: Effects of Liquid Viscosity on Rotodynamic Pump Performance Standard; Rotodynamic (Centrifugal) Slurry Pump Standard (including Slurry Pump Test); Air-Operated Pump Standard; and Air-Operated Pump Test Standard.

In addition to expanded content, Version 2.0 includes a variety of navigation features. To find specific information, users can search an extensive master index or click on a hyperlink in the index or table of contents in any individual standard to jump directly to the desired page. In addition, all standards are in Adobe® Acrobat® format, allowing users to utilize bookmarks, annotations, printing, and multiple page views.

HI has also launched an interactive job board, HI Career Headquarters (HQ). By visiting "Career HQ" on the HI Website, www.pumps.org, employers as well as industry recruiters can use Career HQ to reach pump and pumping systems professionals. According to the company, pump manufacturers and key suppliers to the pump industry stand to benefit from Career HQ.

"The new site is designed to connect talented people with quality jobs," said Mary Silver, HI manager of member services and technology.

Employers using HI Career HQ can take advantage of targeted advertising exposure, online job management, résumé searching access, and competitive pricing. Job seekers will have access to job postings, personal job folders, and e-mail and RSS feeds for new job notification.
