July 18, 2000
MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — Tennessee Technology Centers have standardized their curriculum for hvacr education and begun the process of accrediting their programs through HVAC Excellence.

This accrediting body, administered by Esco Institute, will review the application of each school and conduct an on-site evaluation of each campus.

Each program is required to meet strict standards in curriculum, student facilities, placement services, financial aid, training facilities, equipment, and safety.

The Technology Centers are part of 46 institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents System, the seventh-largest system of higher education in the United States, with an enrollment of more than 180,000 students.

The regents system comprises six universities, 14 community colleges/technical institutes, and 26 technology centers.
