Engenuity Systems Expands Business

February 4, 2004
CHANDLER, Ariz. - Engenuity Systems Inc. has expanded its business, including agreements adding new manufacturers, a product line expansion, and an expanded territory with Echelon Corp., the creator of LonWorks® technology.

The new agreements add MAMAC Systems and Atkinson Electronics to Engenuity's list of more than 55 manufacturers. As a result of the new agreements, as well as expanded relationships with existing partners and product introductions, Engenuity Systems added more than 200 products, bringing its total product offering to more than 2,000 products for use in networked open systems using LonWorks technology. The company also announced that it renewed its distribution agreement with Echelon Corporation in which Engenuity's territory was expanded to include Central and South America.

Engenuity will offer MAMAC's full line of products. In the past, Enginuity focused on supplying products with on-board, integrated interfaces to LonWorks. According to Enginuity, the addition of these products signifies a departure from this practice and represents a recognition for the need to support customers with other peripheral products used in open systems.

Engenuity offers Siemens Building Technologies' Predatorâ„¢ Application Specific Controller family. These controllers are manufactured by Siemens and marketed under the Talon line of products.

The agreement with Atkinson Electronics adds a family of new products introduced to address the needs of the irrigation system control market.
