  • Poole & Kent Co. (Baltimore, MD) announces that it has been awarded a contract by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) worth more than $39 million for the upgrade of the heating and cooling systems at Washington’s Dulles International Airport. Equipment to be installed includes eight 2,000-ton chillers and three 70-million-Btu boilers, as well as temporary chillers and cooling towers during construction.
  • Aircond Corp. (Smyrna, GA) announces several appointments: Frank Cloud to operations manager; Chris Brown to engineering and implementation manager; Jennifer Ganzel to human resources assistant; and Julie Cantrell to assistant controller.
  • VenVest Inc. (St. Louis, MO) employs Michael S. Robinson to develop the company's Internet exchange, which will link vendors with contractors in the air conditioning and plumbing industries. Robinson formerly served as president of Contractors Success Group (CSG) from 1998 to 99.
