The United Association (UA) establishes a new department devoted to the hvacr service, residential, and plumbing areas. Donald House has been named director of the department.
Applications are being accepted for the PHCC Educational Foundation and Delta Faucet Co. scholarship programs. Both programs award scholarships to students enrolled in a plumbing-heating-cooling-related major at an accredited four-year college or university. The PHCC Educational Foundation will award four $12,000 scholarships ($3,000/year for four years); applications are due by May 1. The Union-Affiliated Contractors (UAC) announce new leadership: Malcolm Sweet Jr., Condaire, Inc. (St. Louis, MO) and Buddy Parkes, Parkes Mechanical & Metals, Inc. (Muscle Shoals, AL) were elected co-chairs for 2001.
