  • The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) will host the 2003 RSES Midwest Association Educational Conference March 13-15, 2003 at the Sheraton Overland Park in Overland Park, Kan. For more information, call 816-361-3130.

  • Robert Duval has been named New England regional manager for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) (Quincy, Mass.).

  • Azen Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) is now participating in the Certified Ratings Programs of the Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA International) (Arlington Heights, Ill.). AMCA International has licensed 11 centrifugal fans, four propeller fans, and six axial fans for sound performance for the company.

  • The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) (Falls Church, Va.) has released the 2003 National Standard Plumbing Code (NSPC). The 2003 edition reflects the revisions made to the 2000 NSPC. For more information, go to www.phccweb.org.

  • The National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) (Watertown, Mass.), via its Education Center, now offers “certified” patches, emblems, and caps for oilheat personnel who have achieved a Silver or Gold level of technical recognition.   • The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) will conduct seminars on the road in 2003. The Association will present two-day seminars focusing on the role of the service manager, with instructor Jim Peters. Sessions will be held July 23-24 at the Armonk Ramada Inn, Armonk, N.Y. and July 30-31, 2003 at the Best Western Inn, Manchester, N.H. Class size is limited to the first 30 students at each location.
