Total Office Manager version 4.0 features numerous
enhancements and additions to the functionality of the software. It is designed
with substantial tax and inventory feature enhancements. A sales tax feature
can now calculate sales tax based on direct cost, retail price, or gross
profit. The tax burden can be set to the company or the customer. Use tax is
also supported. Users can form groups of sales tax items using completely
different types of sales taxes, each with its own set of rules and accounts.
Sales tax on an invoice can now be selected by item or grouped by line item.
That means each item on the invoice can be taxed in a unique manner. The sales
tax liability report now includes the option of being run on an accrual or cash
basis. A new feature includes a reorder menu that allows users to establish
default vendors, reorder points, and create purchase orders in bulk. The new
pick ticket report can be used by installers or warehouse personnel to “pick”
or pull merchandise from inventory and stage it for an installation job. The
same pick ticket can be used to check in unused inventory from that job back
into the warehouse.
