World Trade Center Project Awarded
3 World Trade Center is the third tallest building in the World Trade Center master plan. The 80-story, 2.8-million-square-foot tower includes 53 floors of office space, five trading floors, and five levels of retail space at and below grade. The building, to be developed by Silverstein Properties, is being designed to attain U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) Gold certification and is scheduled for completion in 2015.
“We are proud to be a part of this landmark project,” said Lauren Kolb, Automated Logic president. “It’s a great honor to continue our work on the World Trade Center site with some of the most respected development and construction companies in the industry.”
Automated Logic will install a building automation solution that provides control and monitoring of heating, cooling, and fire alarm systems, as well as a direct interface with an innovative 1.2MW PureCell fuel cell system designed by UTC Power, which will generate clean, efficient power onsite. The system will ensure a comfortable environment for the building’s occupants and will help tenants save energy and promote more sustainable operations. The project will consist of control and monitoring of more than 15,000 points and will include two WebCTRL® servers, four BACnet operator workstations, 100 Mbps network infrastructure, and 90 primary DDC panels.
