Russell Pope of Soler & Palau in Jacksonville, Fla., was re-elected as secretary for a two-year term. Jim Boldt of Broan-NuTone LLC in Hartford, Wis., now serves as immediate past chairman.

In addition, two ex-officio members were appointed to one-year terms: John Harper of Ventamatic Ltd. in Mineral Wells, Texas, and Andy Krug of Delta Products Corp. in St. Charles, Mo. Ex-officio members are nonvoting, advisory members of the HVI board of directors appointed by the voting members of the HVI board for the purpose of supplementing the expertise and knowledge of the voting board members.

As incoming chairman, Fox noted there are several priorities on which the HVI board of directors will focus during his term. “During the next two years, HVI will continue to promote the value of HVI-certified products to builders, contractors, architects, engineers, code officials, distributors, and consumers. In addition, we will work on promoting the importance of ventilation to human health and strengthen our partnerships with key organizations such as Energy Star®, California Energy Commission, and the Healthy House Institute.” Fox continued, “The board of directors will also work toward increasing membership participation as well as increasing consumer awareness of HVI services and benefits.”
