WASHINGTON, DC — According to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC), the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) is developing a mold guideline that may include permissible exposure limits (PELs) for mold. PHCC also said that the document may describe the differences between the 167 varieties of mold and the various toxicity levels for each type, and information on where mold can be analyzed.
An OSHA representative announced that development of the mold guideline came in response to questions asked at an ergonomics roundtable attended by PHCC.
