Nu-Wool® insulation is an energy-saving cellulose insulation made from recycled newspaper, says the manufacturer. It is installed in both attics and walls of residential and commercial buildings. The insulation is said to provide up to 40% energy savings on energy bills when compared to conventional insulation materials, the company says. The product is sprayed in place, eliminating voids or air pockets. Density, or weight per cubic foot, which is important in reducing air infiltration and increasing effective R-value, is more consistent, says the company.
