National Environmental Balancing Bureau: Commissioning Handbook
The first edition of Design Phase Commissioning Handbook is a resource for design phase commissioning information. The handbook is intended to be used by the commissioning professional in reviewing building mechanical system design documents and determining their relevance and completeness to the total quality of the project. A feature of the manual is over 60 separate, multiple-page review guidelines on HVAC equipment and systems used in building mechanical systems including duct systems, steam piping systems, packaged air conditioning units, heat pumps, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, steam boilers, fans, relief and intake hoods, variable-frequency drives, control dampers, and many other systems, equipment, and controls. The appendices contain the association's Commissioning Matrix, Commissioning Process Matrix, and Commissioning Responsibility Matrix.
