EAST PETERSBURG, Pa. — The annual heating system installation competition sponsored by the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) is under way. There are four entry categories for both residential and commercial work (eight categories in all). They are: new construction heated with oil, replacement for oil with an oil-heated system, electric to oil conversion, and gas to oil conversion.

The contest is open to all oil heat service divisions or independent companies. Each participant in the contest is required to submit at least three pictures of the job and one of the building. They must also identify if they are entering the residential or commercial category. Along with the pictures, a typed description of the job must be included. NAOHSM encourages participants to highlight any special difficulties with either installation or salesmanship, projected or realized fuel savings, and include customer testimonials.

The deadline for entries is April 1, 2004. Winners will be announced at the 51st annual NAOSHM convention, which will be held in Hartford, Conn., May 11-15, 2004. Entries should be sent to NAOSHM Installation Contest, P.O. Box 67, East Petersburg, PA 17520 or to info@naohsm.org. For more information, visit www.naohsm.org.
