ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Mechanical Contractors Association of America is offering multiple programs this fall. Registration is currently open for the Mechanical Service Contractors of America’s (MSCA’s) 2008 annual educational conference to be held in San Antonio, Oct. 12-15. The program features a line-up of speakers and seminars on topics that will assist contractors in overcoming the challenge of running a successful business in today’s marketplace.

The conference will also feature a one-day optional seminar on Enhancing Energy Efficiency for High Performance Buildings. This seminar will focus on energy audits and retro commissioning. The new UA/MSCA Mobile Classroom of Sustainable Technologies will also be available during the conference. Other special features include an expanded exhibitors display, fun optional programs, and roundtable discussions.

MCAA is also offering its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP) Training Course for New Construction (NC) at the Westin at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport in Baltimore, Oct. 9-10.

This session is the last NC course offered on the East Coast for 2008. According to the association, every aspect of the LEED-NC 2.2 rating system is covered, including the processes, submittal documentation, and interworkings of integrated systems, the essentials for success- fully passing the certification examination. Courtney France, LEED AP of France Sustainable Solutions is the instructor.
